IRU gains support of Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan

BSEC-URTA Secretary General Mr. Adrian Albu participated in the meeting of IRU Delegation with Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ramin N. Guluzade held on 3 September 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

IRU Delegation (Mr. Umberto De Pretto, Mr. Tofig Nurullayev, Mr. Ali Iskenderov and Mr. Adrian Albu) met the Minister of Transport Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan H. E. Ramin N. Guluzade.

They discussed such essential topics for the industry as digitalisation of TIR, CMR, BSEC Permit, eVisa for professional drivers and the leading role of Azerbaijan in these projects during its Chairmanship-in-Office in BSEC Organization in second half of 2018 in this process. BSEC-URTA Secretary General Mr. Adrian Albu highlighted the importance of the Azeri Chairmanship-in-Office in BSEC for promoting Trade and Transport Facilitation within Black Sea region. H. E. Ramin N. Guluzade called IRU and BSEC-URTA to cooperate for implementing of these projects. 

Also, meeting attendees considered safety and security in road transport through professional training of managers and drivers, leading role of IRU member associations and talked that ABADA should carry such a role.

As a conclusion of meeting with Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ramin N. Guluzade IRU was decided to be a partner in all issues discussed.
