A new line from Iran to Kazakhstan and Russia enhancing regional trade networks

A regular line of RoRo ships from the northern ports of Iran to the ports of Kurik (Kazakhstan) and Olya (Russia ) and vice versa began to work.

The first ship “Kompozitor Rakhmaninov” voyage to the port of Kuryk took place on the 15 November 2020 from the port of Amirabad. Shipping company management decided to make at least 3 trips per month. The second ship named “Gasanov” will start its voyages from Olya port to Anzali /Nowshahr port and vice versa since 10 December 2020.

The capacity of each ship per voyage is 35 Trucks of 17 meters of lengths , or 40 Trucks of 13-14 meters of lengths, or 80 Trucks with lengths of 7 meters and or 150 automobiles .

BSEC-URTA supports new intermodal TIR service across Caspian Sea, taking into account the essential importance of such kind of routes in difficult COVID-19 times.
