Restrictions on the import of certain goods to Belarus

From January 1, 2022, restrictions on the import of certain categories of goods into the Republic of Belarus come into force.

The ban on the import and sale of certain groups of goods on the territory of Belarus, which has been in effect since the spring of 2021, has been expanded by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus to a larger number of items.

The import ban covers goods according to the list and originating from
European Union and its member states, USA, Canada, Norway, Albania, Iceland, North Macedonia, Great Britain, Montenegro, Switzerland.

The new bans that are being introduced still do not apply to the transit of goods through the territory of Belarus, carried out by means of international transportation.

For the movement of prohibited goods by road in transit through the territory of Belarus, navigation seals are used.

The validity period of the introduced restrictions is from January 1 to June 30, 2022 with the possibility of a subsequent extension.
