BSEC-URTA Participated in the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials
The BSEC Committee of Senior Officials Meeting was held in Istanbul, at the BSEC Headquarters on 16 April 2025.
The Meeting was chaired by the representative of the Azerbaijani BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, Mr. Emin MAMMADOV.
BSEC-URTA participated in this significant event, which included esteemed figures from the BSEC regions’ representatives of Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the observers of the BSEC PERMIS.
In his speech, the BSEC-URTA Secretary General, Mehmet Uylukcu, shared the activities of BSEC-URTA in cooperation with BSEC PERMIS, the outcomes of its Working Parties, the Digitalization Working Party, and the newly established Working Party on the role of women in road transport. Secretary General reiterated his invitation to the missing countries in the BSEC Permit system, namely, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, and Greece, to be part of the logistics tool created by the BSEC family, proving solidarity and logistic facilitation in the BSEC geography. Secretary General underlined the urgent need for facilitation and improvement in BSEC Border Crossings and solutions to driver visa problems.
BSEC-URTA highly expects Azerbaijan, with its strong logistical location, to be a member of the BSEC Permit System during its Chairmanship.
