BSEC-URTA Contributes to ESPORG’s Women Wellbeing Working Group
BSEC-URTA International Secretariat participated in the kick-off meeting of the Women Wellbeing Working Group, established under the European Wellbeing Initiative (EWELLIN) led by the European Secure Parking Organisation (ESPORG). Bringing together international organisations, transport associations, researchers and industry experts, the Working Group aims to improve the safety, wellbeing and career opportunities of women in the road transport sector.
Representing BSEC-URTA, Elizabeta Ivanovska, President of the BSEC-URTA Working Party on the Role of Women in Road Transport, emphasised the importance of expanding similar initiatives across the Black Sea region to attract more women into the profession.
In addition, Elif Nuhoglu presented the UND Women Truck Driver Academy as a regional best practice, highlighting its success in addressing the shortage of professional drivers through competency-based training, public-private cooperation and direct employment opportunities.
As the sectoral dialogue partner of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), BSEC-URTA remains committed to supporting international cooperation that promotes safer, more inclusive and sustainable road transport.
Through its active contribution to the Working Group, BSEC-URTA will continue to share regional best practices and contribute to practical solutions that strengthen human capital and help address the shortage of professional drivers.
