BSEC-URTA President and BSEC-URTA family Participated in the Logistics & Transport Thessaloniki Expo

BSEC-URTA President Eduart Kasa and the BSEC-URTA family attended the Logistics & Transport Thessaloniki Expo from April 10 to 12, 2025, at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre (TIF-HELEXPO). The expo was a success, showcasing Northern Greece’s role as a key transport hub in the Balkans and fostering collaboration on export trade and logistics.

In an interview with Greek media, President Kasa discussed international road transport’s challenges, highlighting the “3Ds”: digitalization, decarbonization, and driver shortage.

He noted that while governments aim to streamline border procedures, transporters continue to experience long delays, waiting days or weeks at crossings.

Despite hopes for improvement post-COVID, the logistics sector faces growing protectionism that complicates drivers’ situations. Kasa emphasized the need for society to influence authorities to adopt policies that support sustainable economic growth, warning that increasing protectionism could hinder transport and trade.
