GIRCA and BSEC-URTA are ready for their hosts in Batumi on 8-9th June 2023

A delegation from BSEC-URTA, consisting of Secretary General Mehmet Uylukcu and Deputy Secretary General Alpdogan Kahraman, recently visited Georgia to meet with GIRCA. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the upcoming BSEC-URTA spring events, which include a visit to the Sarp-Sarpi Border Crossing and the 41st General Assembly in Batum on June 8th and 9th, 2023.

BSEC-URTA and GIRCA paid a visit to the Georgian Revenue Service, a contributor to the BSEC-URTA spring events. During the visit, they had a discussion with the Head of the Department for International Relations, Samson Uridiato, and the Adviser Department for International Relations, Irina Sigua, about the goal and program of the BSEC-URTA delegation’s visit to the Sarp-Sarpi Border Crossing.

On this occasion, BSEC-URTA presented its gratitude on behalf of its members to the Revenue Service for their work in its borders, considering the increasing traffic directed to the Georgian Border Crossing Points.

At the meeting, BSEC-URTA expressed appreciation for the efforts and future plans of the Georgian Revenue Service to implement a “One Stop Shop” application within its borders.

Later on, BSEC-URTA paid a visit to GIRCA to talk about the program of events for BSEC-URTA and the latest logistics progress in the BSEC area.

On behalf of its members, BSEC-URTA expresses sincere gratitude to GIRCA, including President Gia Tsiphuria, Secretary General Nino Chkheidze, and Lasha Kvirikashvili for being excellent hosts and for their hard work and preparations to welcome BSEC-URTA guests.

The city of Batumi is set to welcome members of BSEC-URTA, along with esteemed guests from BSEC PERMIS, IRU Secretary General Umberto De Pretto, UNECE, and OECD, for the BSEC-URTA Spring event.
