BSEC-URTA President was the guest speaker at the conference organized by IRU and AIRCUZ, titled Driving Resilience and Prosperity in Uzbekistan

BSEC-URTA President Eduart Kasa and Deputy Secretary General Alpdogan Kahraman, upon the kind invitation from IRU and AIRCUZ, participated in a series of significant events where essential topics of international road transport were thoroughly discussed by the esteemed participants from all over the world met in Uzbekistan.

On 13 09 2023, President Eduart Kasa was a guest speaker at the International Road Transport Driving Resilience and Prosperity conference, opened by the welcoming speech of His Excellences Ilkhom Makhkamov, The Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan.

The conference uncovered that a landlocked country such as Uzbekistan is becoming a solid logistic hub with steps towards facilitation and digitalization. Uzbekistan is now a key country on the Middle Corridor, uniting China to the BSEC region with its infrastructure improvements.

Eduart Kasa, in his speech, presented the efforts of the BSEC-URTA family, who united to find common solutions for their common problems to the esteemed participants of the conference and BSEC-URTA projects such as Facilated visas for drivers, International Vehicle Weight Certificate, BSEC Ring Highway Truck Caravan, BSEC Permit quota system.

President Eduart Kasa signed the IRU Charter 75 declaring the road transport community’s commitment to help rescue people, rebuild shattered communities, and make mobility networks and supply chains more resilient on behalf of BSEC-URTA and thanked IRU Secretary General Umberto De Pretto for the creation of the IRU Charter that demonstrates the solidity of international road transporters against crises to serve for humanity.

In the AIRCUZ 30th Anniversary, Eduart Kasa celebrated AIRCUZ and the Uzbek transporters and presented the delight of the BSEC-URTA to have AIRCUZ in the family, creating a complete synergy between Central Asia and the BSEC region.

On 14 September, participants of the conference participated in the roundtable discussion on cross-border trade and transit with China, where representatives from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Russia shared the solid steps that they had taken for the development of international road transport between China.

The final words are from the IRU President, Mr. Radu Dinescu, coming straight from the BSEC-URTA family: the countries should realize international road transport agreements with China in the shortest time for joining and developing the international road transport mode that is presenting the global economy for cheaper, faster solutions for connecting China to the world.
