Secretary General and BSEC-URTA Delegation were in Serbia to visit Pumedtrans, Serbian Carrier’s Day, and Serbian Border Crossing Points
BSEC-URTA Secretary General Mehmet Uylukcu strengthened with the participation of BSEC-URTA Vice President Mr. Apostolos Kenanidis, Mr. Alper Ozel from UND, Miss Argyro Doumani and Mr. Dimitrios Fokaidis from OFAE, Mr. Sercan Erdem from TOBB-UND, and BSEC-URTA Senior Advisor Adrian Albu visited Serbia upon the kind invitation of Pumedtrans to participate in the Serbian Carrier’s Day and Truck Business Fair.
During the visit, the BSEC-URTA Delegation visited one of the most crucial transit gates for the BSEC transporters, the Serbian-Crotian Border Crossing Point, Batrovci, where transporters face the refugee threat.
BSEC-URTA delegation thanked the Turkish and Serbian police force for this positive and exemplary role model for other BSEC countries utterly parallel with the BSEC-URTA, To work to find Common Solutions for Common Problems.
BSEC-URTA’s next border visit was to Sid Border Crossing Point, between Serbia and Croatia, where transit passages were restricted in 2023.
The BSEC-URTA delegation observed extraordinary waiting times during Sid’s visit, which showed the urgent necessity of opening another Border Crossing Point between Serbia and Croatia.
On the occasion of Serbian’s Carrier’s Day and Truck Business Fair, Secretary General Mehmet Uylukcu took the floor in the exhibition and congratulated Pumedtrans and Serbian transporters on this crucial day.
