BSEC-URTA and UND Presidents Convene to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

On 10 July 2025, a BSEC-URTA delegation led by President Mr. Eduart Kasa and Secretary General Mr. Mehmet Uylukçu paid a working visit to the International Transporters’ Association of Türkiye (UND), where they were warmly received by UND President Mr. Şerafettin Aras.

The meeting served as an important platform to exchange views on current developments in international road transport across the Black Sea region. The delegations discussed key challenges, particularly persistent driver visa issues, structural bottlenecks at border crossings, and sustainable transport solutions.

During the discussions, BSEC-URTA President Mr. Eduart Kasa emphasized the significant role UND plays in the development of regional transport corridors, stating:

“UND is a leading actor in strengthening regional logistics connectivity. Our joint efforts will further advance integration within the Black Sea transport ecosystem.”

UND President Mr. Şerafettin Aras underlined the importance of sustained dialogue and partnership with BSEC-URTA, adding:
“We value our continued cooperation with BSEC-URTA. Addressing the structural problems of our sector requires a shared commitment and regional unity.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their intention to enhance collaboration through increased information exchange and joint initiatives aimed at facilitating smoother, more efficient international transport operations in the region.

The meeting was also attended by BSEC-URTA Deputy President Mrs. Olivera Miovska, Senior Advisor Mr. Adrian Albu, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Alpdogan Kahraman, Experts Ms. Sadiye Nuhoglu and Ms. Elif Nuhoglu.
