BSEC-URTA 46th General Assembly in Cappadocia Strengthens Regional Cooperation and Digital Transformation Agenda

The 46th Meeting of the BSEC-URTA General Assembly was successfully held in Cappadocia, Nevsehir, Türkiye, on 9 October 2025, hosted by TOBB, TOBBUND, and UND with the support of the Nevsehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event brought together high-level representatives from the BSEC Organization, IRU, national ministries, and member associations across the region.

Delegates discussed key developments in road transport, including the expansion and digitalization of the BSEC Permit System, the planned launch of the new BSEC Multiple Licence in 2026, and the ongoing challenges related to driver mobility and border facilitation.

The Assembly emphasized the need for stronger coordination among regional stakeholders to enhance trade corridors and transport efficiency. It approved the BSEC-URTA Working Program and Budget for 2026, renewed the mandate of Secretary General Mr. Mehmet Uylukcu for another four-year term, and welcomed the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a new Observer.

Participants praised Türkiye’s initiatives such as the Edirne Transit Facilitation Center as models for the region, reaffirming BSEC-URTA’s mission to drive integration, digitalization, and competitiveness across the Black Sea transport network.
