BSEC-URTA Delivers 40,800 BSEC Permits for 2026 – A Step Ahead for Regional Facilitation

BSEC-URTA has prepared and delivered the agreed quota of 40,800 BSEC permits for 2026, reinforcing the organisation’s long-standing commitment to smoother, more predictable road transport in the Black Sea region.
As is its tradition, the BSEC-URTA International Secretariat personally prepares BSEC permits for its members and transport operators each year, in cooperation with the IRU, to support transportation and trade across the region.
For 2026, BSEC-URTA prepared the agreed quota of 40,800 permits, which were handed over to BSEC-PERMIS on 4 December 2025, again ahead of the deadline. The timely delivery underlines BSEC-URTA’s continuing operational commitment and logistical readiness.
The quota was confirmed at a meeting of BSEC Member States attended by BSEC-URTA President Eduart Kasa, Deputy President Olivera Miovska, Secretary General Mehmet Uylukçu, Senior Advisor Adrian Albu, and Deputy Secretary General Alpdoğan Kahraman. The meeting also reviewed progress on the digitalisation of BSEC permits, the development of BSEC multi-entry permits, and the geographic expansion of the permit scheme within the BSEC permit system.
“We are proud to deliver this year’s quota ahead of schedule,” said Eduart Kasa, President of BSEC-URTA. “Digitalisation and the development of multi-entry permits are at the heart of our work to make cross-border transport faster, more reliable and more inclusive across the region.”
BSEC permits will continue to be a pioneer and a symbol of solidarity and innovation across the BSEC region, supporting the development of reliable and modern transit corridors.
