On 11-12 March 2025, BSEC-URTA joined the SIPA Policy Dialogue on Sustainable and Resilient Freight Connectivity in Central Asia in Almaty.

On 11-12 March 2025, BSEC-URTA joined the SIPA Policy Dialogue on Sustainable and Resilient Freight Connectivity in Central Asia in Almaty. Exhibiting some best practices in the BSEC region, BSEC-URTA presented the important role of trade facilitation and seamless border crossings in sustainable transport.

BSEC-URTA sincerely expresses its gratitude to ITF Secretary General Dr. Young Tae Kim, Guineng Chen, Yaroslav Kholodov, the ITF Transport Team, and the Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport for organizing such a successful meeting. We also appreciate the arrangement of the bilateral meeting between Dr. Young Tae Kim and BSEC-URTA Secretary General Mehmet Uylukcu. During this meeting, Mr. Kim made sincere and positive remarks about BSEC-URTA’s activities and the collaboration between our organizations, particularly regarding the adaptation of the BSEC region for the digitalization of CEMT documents, set to start in 2026.
