Together: Stronger, BSEC-URTA family participated in the IRU General Assembly.
BSEC-URTA President, Secretary General and its members met with colleagues from around the world, from Pakistan to the United States, all collaborating to connect people through road networks.
The IRU’s General Assembly was enlightening, featuring a special session commemorating 75 years of the TIR system. UNECE Executive Secretary Tatiana Molcean played a significant role in its enforcement.
Important topics, including driver shortages and updates on decarbonization, were discussed. The role of freight forwarders in the supply chain was brainstormed with the participation of FIATA President Turgut Erkeskin, who was part of the Good Transport Council.
The participants also assessed the future of transport by examining artificial intelligence and adopting artificial intelligence guidelines.
According to the decision made at the last BSEC-URTA General Assembly, the date of the next General Assembly meeting was announced by AIRCUZ’s esteemed Chairman Sanjar Pulatov as 2nd September 2024. The IRU CAD meeting will be held on 3rd September, the International Transport conference on 4th September, and a technical visit to Buhara on 5th and 6th September to discuss alternative transit corridors to connect Pakistan and China to the BSEC region and the world.
