BSEC-URTA Addresses Senior Officials at the BSEC Committee Meeting

BSEC-URTA, as the Sectoral Dialogue Partner of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), participated in and delivered a speech during the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials held on 16 October 2025.
Representing the organization, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Alpdogan Kahraman presented the recent activities of BSEC-URTA, including the outcomes of its 46th General Assembly and ongoing efforts to strengthen regional logistics, promote digitalization, and facilitate transport across the BSEC region. He was accompanied and supported by members of the International Secretariat, Ms. Elif Nuhoglu and Ms. Sadiye Nuhoglu.
The Committee unanimously renewed the Sectoral Dialogue Partnership status of BSEC-URTA for another two years, starting from 1 January 2026. Furthermore, discussions on the possible upgrade of BSEC-URTA to Permanent Observer Status were warmly welcomed, reflecting the growing recognition of BSEC-URTA’s role in regional cooperation.
In his address, Mr. Kahraman highlighted the organization’s projects such as the Border Pass digital facilitation system, Women in Road Transport initiatives, and efforts to address Schengen visa barriers for professional drivers, emphasizing BSEC-URTA’s dedication to finding common solutions for common challenges under the strong partnership with BSEC PERMIS and member states.
