BSEC-URTA Took Part in the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials under Georgia’s Chairmanship
Representatives of the BSEC-URTA International Secretariat, namely Alpdoğan Kahraman, Elif Nuhoğlu and Sadiye Nuhoğlu, participated in the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials on 21st April 2026.
Held under the successful Chairmanship of Georgia, the meeting focused on strengthening regional cooperation, enhancing transport corridors, and advancing multimodal connectivity across the BSEC region. Key challenges facing the sector—such as rising fuel costs, global supply chain disruptions, driver visa – staying time limitations especially in the Schengen Area and driver shortages—were also highlighted during the discussions.
As a sectoral partner of BSEC PERMIS, BSEC-URTA expressed its satisfaction in taking part in the meeting and contributing to the ongoing successful efforts of the organization. The participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to improving regional connectivity and developing sustainable transport solutions. BSEC-URTA representatives underlined their appreciation for being part of this constructive platform, which continues to foster cooperation and support a more integrated, resilient, and inclusive transport system in the region.
