Strengthening Regional Connectivity: BSEC-URTA Addresses Young Diplomats on Key Transport Challenges

One of the most significant BSEC initiatives that BSEC-URTA sincerely appreciates and wholeheartedly supports is the Meeting of Young Diplomats, a project initiated by BSEC PERMIS in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). This meaningful gathering brings together young diplomats from all BSEC Member States — the future architects of diplomacy in the BSEC region.

At this important meeting, BSEC-URTA Deputy Secretary General Alpdogan Kahraman took the floor as one of the presenters, sharing the mission, vision, and spirit of BSEC-URTA. Quoting, “Never too young to lead and never too old to learn,” Mr. Kahraman briefed the young diplomats on the crucial role of the logistics chain for the BSEC region, the necessity of strong and efficient border crossing points, and the serious risks posed by the ongoing driver shortage if international road transport is not immediately facilitated.

He also emphasized the need for digital driver visas and introduced the Road Man Passport initiative — a project envisioned under BSEC-URTA’s motto: “Searching common solutions for common problems.” A regional mindset where confrontation is out, and cooperation is in, remains the foundation of the BSEC spirit.

As BSEC-URTA, we extend our sincere gratitude to BSEC PERMIS and all organizers for hosting such a valuable event. We wholeheartedly wish the young diplomats every success in their future endeavors, confident that their work and dedication will contribute to greater prosperity and lasting peace across the BSEC region.
