Türkiye is handing over the flag to Albania
The Forty-seventh Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of the BSEC Member States was held online on 15 December 2023.
H.E. Mr. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and BSEC Chairman-in-Office, chaired the Meeting.
In his opening address, Minister Fidan highlighted the importance of the BSEC Organization as the most comprehensive and inclusive one in the region as well as BSEC’s most valuable contribution to the economic development and cooperation in the area.
An opening address was also delivered by the BSEC PERMIS Secretary General Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, whereby he presented a brief overview of the activities of the Organization during the second semester of 2023, highlighting the very important achievements of the Organization under the Turkish Chairmanship, such as the updating of the BSEC Economic Agenda, as well as the reactivation of the BSEC Business Council and of the BSEC Project Development Fund (PDF).
As BSEC-URTA, we are presenting our highest appreciation to the Republic of Türkiye for its successful Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC and wish Albania all the success during their Chairmanship-in-Office as of 1 January until 30 June 2024.
BSEC-URTA sincerely congratulates Ambassador Lazar Comanescu his appointment as BSEC Secretary General for another three years term (July 1 2024- June 2027).
