BSEC Working Group on Transport Realized Online on 13 March 2024
The BSEC-URTA delegation, which consisted of President Eduart Kasa, Secretary General Mehmet Uylukcu, and Deputy Secretary General Alpdogan Kahraman, participated in the meeting.
In part facilitating Road Transport of Goods, the BSEC-URTA delegation shared with the esteemed representatives from the BSEC Ministries the current border crossing problems in the BSEC region, site visits to Azerbaijan and Georgia in 2023, and highly underlined the good examples in the BSEC region as “One Stop Shop” applied in the BSEC Border Crossing Points.
BSEC-URTA also shared its efforts to improve the BSEC Permit system, focusing on prospects for implementing the e-Permit Pilot Projects and barcodes for BSEC permits in 2025.
BSEC-URTA reiterated its call to Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, and Greece to be part of the BSEC permit system during the meeting for stronger and united BSEC logistics.
