Albania’s BSEC Chairmanship-In-Office
The coordination meeting of the Albanian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, The Committee of Senior Officials, BSEC Related Bodies, and BSEC PERMIS held on 31 January 2024 at BSEC Headquarters, where the priorities of the BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office of the Republic of Albania for the current semester were presented.
Albania’s Chairmanship motto is “Coming together for a peaceful cooperation in the BSEC area.”
Albania declared that the chairman would promote cooperation among member states for finding joint solutions on complex issues, unanimously addressing the wide range of economic and social problems and promoting BSEC- EU interaction while deepening the joint efforts for better results in the fields of transport, economy, tourism, cultural heritage, interaction BSEC-EU, etc.
Priorities of Albania are as follows during its chairmanship;
-Strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of the Organization
-Facilitation of bilateral, regional, and inter-regional dialogue
-Furthering interaction between BSEC-EU
-Strengthening the economic, transport and energy cooperation
-Strengthening tourism and cultural cooperation
-Strengthening the external relations of the BSEC Secretariat
As BSEC-URTA International Secretariat, while wishing all of the success to Albania during their Chairmanship-In-Office in BSEC, we present our gratitude for aiming for peaceful cooperation in the region and the declaration of transportation among its priorities, specifically the simplification of goods transportation methods, the implementation of intelligent transport systems as its priorities in the BSEC region.
